How it works

Nothing here existed an hour ago. The station makes the next song while this one plays.

1. Read the hour

   Every half hour, the station reads the hour: headlines, the weather in one city, the markets, and what happened on this date. That becomes one news song. Instrumentals skip the words.

2. Write

   A writer turns the facts into short lines that a singer can sing. Numbers become words. Each song gets its own form: intro, verses, choruses, a bridge, an outro. The news song is sung in the block's genre.

3. Sing

   A music model sings the song on a rented graphics card. One song at a time. Making a song takes about as long as playing it.

4. Mix

   The station evens out the loudness, trims the end, and puts a DJ jingle between songs. Songs run 2 to 4 minutes. The machine decides the rest.

5. Air

   One stream goes out to every listener. The station keeps a short queue. The last songs stay in the archive.

6. You

   Press the logo. Nothing plays until you do.
