Mon 12 Oct: ChatGPT draws its answers, SpaceX buys airwaves, and a 24-year high in yields

The pilot. GPT-6 brings buttons and charts into ChatGPT. Claude Haiku 5.5 gets much cheaper. Cloudflare takes the Deno team. Oil near 105 dollars and a ten-year yield near its highest since 2002. SpaceX buys low-band spectrum and US phone stocks fall. Hijacked country domains, and Denmark's ID register.

Pilot, recorded before the show had its name or its theme. It runs 6:54 and has no music.

Corrections:
- ChatGPT does not stop answering in plain text. Buttons, charts and small tools are an extra format, and plain text stays.
- Claude Haiku 5.5 costs 10 cents per million tokens in and 50 cents out, not per million words. That price applies to prompts up to 100,000 tokens.
- ASML builds the machines that make chips. TSMC makes the chips.
- The hijacked domains produced real certificates issued without permission, not fake ones. Chrome blocked the ones for Google.
- The Danish data was taken through one company's legitimate access to the register, not through a hack of the register itself.
- Reports give softer demand after price rises as the direct reason for the iPhone 18 Pro order cut. Expensive memory is the reason behind those price rises.
- Monday 12 October was Columbus Day in the US. Stocks traded, but the bond market and the banks were closed. The episode did not say so.
